Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated games coming out next year. Cyberpunk 2077 is an upcoming roleplaying game developed by CD Projekt Red. It’s not uncommon for clones and parody games to use the names of more successful games in hopes of some fans stumbling on their game page because of some typo they made while searching.

Cyberprank 2069, initially called Cyberpunk 2069 was one of those games which hoped to gain some traction based on the original. This was the description for the game on Steam, ”This is a new generation RPG game. A true simulation of life in the world of the future. In 2069, people will be enslaved by a race of intelligent computers. Now it is cyberghetto. The main character is a cop from the past. His task is to become the most wealthy resident of the city of the future.”

Unfortunately for the developers, the game was pulled from Steam by Valve, ahead of a potential UI update for Steam Client, for what we can only assume to be in violation of their policies. Even though it is a cheap attempt, being a parody doesn’t mean it’s illegal to sell on the Steam Store. But this is probably the statement that got the developers into trouble “Thanks to everyone who bought this joke game before 07/22/2019. Each of you will receive your copy of Cyberpunk 2077 as a Christmas present. The funniest review will win the collector’s edition”. If you’re someone who purchased this game, I’m sorry to tell you that It’s highly unlikely you’ll receive a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 for this $10 game. This probably classifies as scam under Steam’s policies. And the next sentence doesn’t seem any better, asking their customers to leave a funny review is very much in violation of Steam’s policy even if it might just have been the developer fooling around.

So needless to say Valve took action, and the game is no longer available in the Steam Store. So If you were enticed by this game, I’m sorry to inform you that there is no way for you to purchase it, although I don’t think anyone would seriously want to play this game.
