These Honor branded phones will get Android Oreo update anytime soon.

Huawei, back in October last year, revealed that it would roll out Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 update to their range of flagship devices including Mate 9, Mate 9 Pro, P10 and P10 Plus. And now, its budget-friendly sub-brand Honor has revealed the list of device eligible for the latest Android update.

It’s not clear at this point when the update is going to hit these devices. However, it shouldn’t take too long considering that the development is in the final stages. The list of Honor devices eligible for the Oreo update includes Honor 7X, Honor 8, Honor V8, Honor Note 8, Honor 8 Lite, Honor 9, Honor 9 Lite, Honor 8 Pro (aka Honor V9 in China), and Honor View 10 (aka Honor V10 in China).

The information was revealed by an Honor representative in a forum post. It’s not clear if all the aforementioned devices will receive each and every feature of EMUI 8.0. However, it doesn’t seem so likely considering the variations in hardware specs among the handsets.
