Leaked images showing off the forthcoming Galaxy S8 Active has surfaced on the Internet, also revealing its biggest feature.

A guy named Dominque Henderson has leaked a series of pictures on one of the AndroidCental forums, showing off the upcoming Galaxy S8 Active in all its glory. The news about the Galaxy S8 Active first swept the Internet when popular leakster Roland Quandt found documents mentioning the handset on Samsung‘s official website. However, the page was taken down as soon as the company found out the details regarding their upcoming handset were leaked.

Fast forward to today, we now have a series of leaked images that give us the best look at the forthcoming Galaxy S8 Active so far. The leakster also mentioned in his twitter handle that he would be giving away a Galaxy S8 Active phone to one of his followers. We don’t know if that’s legit or not, but giving it a try doesn’t sound a bad idea at all!

Although the pictures don’t share much about the internals of the handset, it did reveal one of the biggest features of the Galaxy S8 Active. The device is backed by an insane 4000 mAh battery. To compare, the Galaxy S8 packs a 3000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 Plus features a 3500 mAh battery.

Also, the device features a design similar to the Galaxy S8 and has retained the 18:5:9 aspect ratio. The leakster also mentioned that the handset is shielded by a polycarbonate layer on top like the previous Galaxy Active devices. However, it’s worth noting that the bezels on this handset are not as thin as that on the Galaxy S8, which could be for the better protection of the display.

Take a closer look at the photo, and you’ll find a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, a noise-cancelling mic, and speaker grill on the bottom side of the handset. The volume rocker and power/unlock buttons are present on the left side, while the SIM/microSD slot is present on the right side of the handset.

Other possible specifications include a 5.4-inch 2008 x 1080p display, Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. The handset will run Android 7.1.2 Nougat out of the box, while also featuring Samsung’s Always-on display, Samsung Pay, Samsung Dex docking station and Bixby integration.
