OnePlus is notorious for their bad software update roll out. But, the company now wishes to clear off its bad reputation through timely updates for their devices: OnePlus 5, 3 and 3T. And, that’s exactly what OnePlus is doing right now.

OnePlus wants to clear off its bad reputation on ill-timed updates. And for that, the company has already assigned their top execs to work on the Android 8.0 Oreo update. According to AP, OnePlus 3 was found running Android Oreo in closed beta. The report also suggests that the other two flagships — OnePlus 5, 3T — are expected to receive the update anytime soon.

This time around, the company will likely roll out the final public Android 8.0 beta to their three devices, OnePlus 5, 3 and 3T, by the end of September or early October. But, it’s worth noting that the current build running on OP 3 is tormented with bugs. Users in the closed beta program have found features such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC to be not working properly. However, OnePlus still believes it could release a stable build by the mid of this month.

OnePlus, in a Q&A session on their forum, has previously told that Android 8.0 would be the last major update for their OnePlus 3 and 3T devices. Post the Android 8.0 rollout, these devices won’t receive any more updates from the company besides the security patches. If everything goes as planned, OnePlus might become the first company to roll out the Oreo update to eligible devices.
