Update 18/10: OnePlus has confirmed to Android Marvel that the allegedly “leaked” press invite is fake. However, the company preferred not to answer when asked whether or not will it launch any new smartphone this year.

Original story:

OnePlus’ upcoming handset – OnePlus 5T – has been ruling the headlines for some time now. Although the Chinese company hasn’t revealed anything that hints about the launch of a new handset this year, we have a stream of rumors and leaks that pretty much confirms one.

And now, as per a leaked OnePlus press invite, OnePlus 5T is indeed making its debut on November 5. The invite was first discovered by GSMArena and that, undoubtedly, looks pretty legit. The invite itself doesn’t exactly reveal anything about the handset. But, if you take a closer look, you’ll find an all-screen smartphone with a “T” logo printed at the center.

A questionable OnePlus press invite says that the firm’s incoming handset OnePlus 5T might launch on November 5.

If the recent leaks are true, OnePlus 5T might look just like Samsung’s Galaxy S8. It is said to feature an all-screen design with very thin bezels on the top and bottom. Besides the new gorgeous design and a larger display, the remaining specs of the device are rumored to be just as same as the OnePlus 5; which means it’ll be powered by Snapdragon 835 processor along with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage.

If rumors are anything to go by, OnePlus 5T might sport a 6-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080p) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. To compare, the OnePlus 5 has a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Apart from that, the handset will likely retain the dual-16MP shooter on the rear and 16MP snapper on the front. It should run Google’s latest Android version – Android 8.0 Oreo – out of the box.

So, what do you think about the forthcoming OnePlus 5T? Would you buy one when it launches on November 5? Let us know all your thoughts in the comments below.
