Sony released their flagship Xperia 1 VII model in a handful of European countries, the UK, and Japan early last month, and now it appears that the company is working on a midrange phone with model number PM-1510-BV that is supposedly the upcoming addition to Xperia 10 range, the Sony Xperia 10 VII. The model number of this unreleased budget Xperia phone has been spotted on blocked device checker website of two major Australian carriers, specifically, Optus and Telstra.

While we don’t know much besides the model number, this new leak confirming the existence of Xperia 10 VII handset should come as a relief for Xperia fans worried about the rumored discontinuation of non-Xperia flagship phones. However, there has been no news regarding the Xperia 5 series, which has not seen an upgrade since 2023.

Recapping the rumored specs, the new Sony Xperia 10 VII is expected to feature a 6.1-inch FullHD+ OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It will supposedly be powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset launched earlier this year, and is said to pack 8GB RAM, 256GB storage with microSD support and 5000mAh battery. In terms of photography, it is said to come with a single 8MP camera on the front for selfies, and a dual camera setup on the rear including a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor.

There is no word on a possible launch date of the phone, but we expect it come out sometime later this year. We will keep you posted as we learn more about the upcoming Xperia 10 VII model.
