We know that LG is bringing its latest addition to the V-series, LG V30, at the IFA 2017. And now, a new report has surfaced revealing that a plus variant of the said phone – LG V30 Plus – will also launch at the same event. Well, it looks like LG is following the path of Samsung by launching an advanced variant of the flagship phone with more RAM and better internal storage.

According to ETNews, the Plus variant will come with 128GB of internal storage, while the normal one should carry 64GB of storage. A GeekBench listing has already convinced us that the V30 will come with Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4GB of RAM. So, we expect the LG V30 Plus to pack the same SD835 chipset, but with at least 6GB of RAM.

Further, the report also claims that both the phones will be available for purchase starting September 15 for a price of $700.44 for the V30, and $875.55 for the V30 Plus. If the report is to be believed, both the devices will face a stiff competition from their rival Galaxy Note 8 which should be available to the consumers around the same time.

Yesterday, we saw a few live pictures showcasing the upcoming LG v30 which gave us our best look yet at the device. It’s worth noting that some of the iconic features of previous generation V flagships won’t make it to the new ones, and that should include the secondary display and removable battery.

According to TNW, the LG V30 Plus should also come with a better sound chip and wireless charging feature, thus, making it a capable candidate to fight against the upcoming beast Galaxy Note 8. The latter is said to come with Snapdragon 835 chipset, 6GB RAM, and 64/128Gb storage.

Although the V series always packed something unique under the hood, it had never been able to grab as much attention as the Galaxy S flagships, or even LG’s own G series. Personally, I’ve always loved what LG has been doing with their V lineups; they always looked and felt different from their counterparts in the market. But by ditching some of the iconic features, we don’t know how exactly the Korean tech giant is going to make the V30 and V30 Plus different from the G6.

Whether these phones will pack anything unique or not, only time will tell. LG is prepping to launch the two devices on August 30th, which is only a few days from now. So, we prefer not to listen to the mumblings in the form of rumors and wait for the details to come straight from the horse’s mouth.
