Let’s talk about upcoming LG V30 specs, leaks, and release date… It’s pretty clear for now that LG will be launching their latest LG V30 phone at the IFA conference. Although the company has opted to stay hush about the phone, we have a pretty good idea of what the new V flagship will bring on to the table; thanks to the endless number of leaks and rumors that were making rounds for months now. They have almost confirmed the LG V30 specs and even its release date.
Firstly, let’s all address the elephant in the room: Leaked live pictures of LG V30. It’s worth mentioning that these pictures give our best look yet at the forthcoming device. According to GSMArena, LG teamed up with HitRecord to give early testers a chance to have their hands-on the LG v30 phone. The testers were clearly instructed to share the details in a closed forum. But, they rather jumped the gun and posted live-pictures of the handset in an open forum. Thanks to them; we finally have our first best look at the yet-to-announce device.
The dual camera setup is here to stay! Pictures suggest that LG has indeed retained the dual camera setup and dual-tone LED flash. Besides that, the fingerprint sensor is still found on the rear side of the device, just as it was in the previous generation. Further, there is a ‘V30’ branding on the back, which confirms that the leaked pictures indeed showcases the said smartphone.

Coming to the front side, you’ll find that the secondary display is no more a part of the upcoming V-series phone. While that’s a bit disappointing to see, it has indeed helped the smartphone save some space for integrating an all-screen front design. Speaking of which, LG V30 is said to come with a 6-inch QuadHD+ OLED display with FullVision feature and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top.
As far as the LG v30 specs are concerned, it is rumored to come with Snapdragon 835 processor, 4 or 6GB of RAM, 64 or 128GB of internal storage. In addition to that, several rumors are pointing out that the new phablet will come with a 3300 mAh battery, improved DAC feature, a faster fingerprint sensor, and more.
That’s not all we know of the smartphone! There is more good news for the LG fans out there. The tech giant has confirmed that it has used a f/1.6 aperture lens for one of the two cameras present on the rear. Now to compare, its predecessor LG V20 came with a wide f/1.8 aperture lens. According to the company, the new upgrade would let in 25 percent more light than the f/1.8 aperture lens used on the LG V20, or iPhone 7 for that matter. So, we expect LG has something big in store not just for the normal phone users, but also for the professional photographers looking for a handy alternative for enormous digital cameras.
According to TheVerge, the internal construction of the new camera will include a glass lens which should promise more sharp and faithful images. “LG boasts an unrivaled heritage in smartphone photography and our decision to adopt glass in the V30 camera is specifically because this has traditionally been the realm of DSLRs”, said Juno Cho, the president of LG Electronics.
LG is expected to launch the latest addition to the V-series, the LG V30, a day before the debut of IFA 2017, i.e., August 31st. And after that, the smartphone will probably go on sale worldwide on September 28. Besides LG, Samsung and Sony will showcase their latest offerings, Galaxy Note 8 and Xperia XZ1 series respectively, at the conference scheduled to take place in Berlin starting September 1st.
