If you’re someone that loves taking high-quality pictures of your face, then you may want to keep an eye out for the incoming Nokia-branded smartphone dubbed Nokia 8.2. Reliable leakster, Ishan Agarwal on Twitter posted that he’s been tipped by a source that suggests the upcoming budget-friendly handset from HMD Global will come with a 32MP pop-up selfie camera. Besides, the source also revealed that the device will run Android Q out of the box and that one of the variants will come packed with 8 gigs of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

As the name suggests, the Nokia 8.2 will be the successor to last year’s Nokia 8.1. For the uninitiated, the Nokia 8.1 was launched back in December last year and features a 6.18-inch FullHD+ edge-to-edge display with a notch on top to house the camera modules and other sensors. It’s powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor along with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. Camera-wise, it has a dual-camera setup on the rear housing a 12MP primary sensor and a 13MP secondary sensor, and a 20MP snapper on the front for selfies. The handset is sold in China under a different name, Nokia X7, and is available in a higher storage option of 6GB RAM and 128GB storage beside what the normal variant offers.

Besides the obvious upgrade over the front-facing camera and RAM capacity, the incoming Nokia 8.2 is said to come powered by either the recently released Snapdragon 700 series (730 or 730G) or the soon-to-release Snapdragon 735 chipset. In case you didn’t know, the SD 735 will be a huge improvement over the SD 710 as leaks have suggested a 20% better performance and a 50% more efficiency. Also, the former will be 20 percent more energy efficient than the recently released SD 730. Built on the same 7nm LPP process as the Snapdragon 855, two cortex-A76 based main cores are said to be clocked at 2.40GHz and 2.90GHz, while the other six efficiency core will be clocked at 1.60GHz. Other highlights include 5G connectivity, support for up to 12 gigs of RAM, compatibility with displays featuring 21:9 aspect ratio and 3360 x 1440 resolution, and backs 4K video shooting at 60FPS.
