DOOGEE MIX is a bezel-less budget-friendly Chinese phone, that features an octa-core Helio P25 processor, 4/6GB of RAM, 64/128GB of storage and dual-camera setup.

Heard about this company called DOOGEE before? Well, probably not! It’s a rather new Chinese mobile manufacturer that makes pretty decent phones for very affordable prices. Their latest to debut in the market is the DOOGEE MIX phone. The main highlight of the DOOGEE MIX is its bezel-less design, similar to Galaxy S8 and LG G6. That definitely sounds quite impressive, especially for a phone that comes with a price starting at $169.99.

According to the company, the DOOGEE MIX is their smallest smartphone, even though it features a rather larger 5.5-inch FullHD display; thanks to the very narrow bezels. The design and model name seems to be inspired by the Mi Mix, but only in terms of shape. However, there is a bottom chin for the phone that houses a fingerprint sensor, unlike the Galaxy S8 or LG G6. And of course, you can’t expect the fingerprint sensor on this handset to compete with that of the Samsung flagships. But, it’s definitely better than most of the Chinese phones out there.

Another highlight is the dual camera setup. The setup is similar to the OnePlus 5 / iPhone 7 Plus with the second sensor being a telephoto lens, that lets you take photos at 2X Zoom. The phone can take bokeh shots, but the software is notably bad that such shots are likely missed. The main sensor is a 16MP one that can take some pretty decent pictures when used singly. There is a 5MP front-facing camera as well. The camera app comes with features such as beautifying mode and pre-set filters, you can use to take beautiful selfies.

Under the hood is an octa-core Helio P25 processor, powered by 3,380 mAh battery. The phone comes in two storage variants, with the higher variant sporting 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, while the lower version comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There’s also a microSD slot, which can be used to expand storage up to 128GB.

For those interested, the pricing on the phone goes this way: $169.99 for the 4GB variant and $179.99 for the 6GB variant. So, are you planning to buy one? If yes, then do let us know about it in the comments below.

Abhin’s love for all things tech started when he got his first smartphone, Galaxy S (the first), in 2010. Since then, he has been crazy about technology and tried out all major Android flagships from Samsung, and HTC. He currently uses a Google Pixel 4a as his daily driver.
