We know almost anything and everything about the upcoming Redmi Note 5; thanks to the consistent rumors. So, we decided to do a comparison between the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 4 to let you know the differences between them.

Xiaomi is prepping to launch the successor to their most successful budget phone series in the end of July. Dubbed Redmi Note 5, the device will pack the heck of a hardware and latest software to inherit the title of ‘Best mid-range smartphone’ from the Redmi Note 4. So, here are the new upgrades that the Redmi Note 5 will have in store for us.

Rumors suggest that Redmi Note 5 will retain the same 5.5-inch Full HD display and the top notch build quality. However, the finger print sensor that was present in the back of Note 4, is rumored to be moved onto the front in the case of the forthcoming phone. Also, the bezels will be narrower this time.

    Camera

This department will see a major overhaul, as the upcoming Redmi Note 5 is tipped to include a dual camera setup. Unlike the Redmi Note 4, its successor will probably pack two 16MP sensors with f/2.0 aperture. On the other hand, the Note 4 came with a single 13MP camera onboard.

    Processor

The processor will see a bump from the Snapdragon 425 to Snapdragon 630/660 on the Note 5. Also, the new phone will come in three storage variants: 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage, 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage and 4GB RAM plus 128GB storage. In case you didn’t know, the Note 4 was also launched in three storage variants as well; 2GB RAM plus 32GB, 3GB RAM plus 32GB storage and 4GB RAM plus 64GB.

    Battery

As per rumors, the Note 5 will pack a slightly lower 3790 mAh battery, against the 4100 mAh battery on the Note 4. But, thanks to the new power-efficient processor and Quick Charge 3.0 feature, the battery life on the Note 5 will be on par with that of Note 4, if not better.

That’s all we know of the differences between the two devices, as of now. The Redmi Note 5 is expected to launch at the end of July for prices with a starting price of $175.
