Samsung makes another attempt to release the modified version of Galaxy Fold to the public. The foldable phone is re-launched after making some modifications to the first version that was earlier released on September 6 in Korea.
Early this year in April, the first samples of Galaxy Fold were reviewed by tech critics, who went on to publish some defects of the phone. A few days later, Samsung postponed its release declaring Galaxy Fold unfit for market release yet.
After taking its time to fix the flaws, Samsung releases the modified version of Galaxy Fold. And this time, the new Galaxy Fold comes with a few changes from the earlier one.
1) New Galaxy Fold comes with a fixed screen protector
One of the main flaws with the original Galaxy Fold was the slim screen protector, which could easily peel off, and, then damage the phone. Even as Samsung warned not to remove the screen protector, some reviewers went on and removed the screen protector, and spoilt the phone. To avoid this, Samsung has devised a way to make sure the screen protector on the new Galaxy Fold stays put.
2) High durability
To add to its durability, Samsung has added caps to the hinges that will be bent numerous times throughout the day. The new Galaxy Fold now comes attached with metal elements beneath the screen that adds to its rigid and sturdy feel.
3) 5G in the new Galaxy Fold
It is not clear whether the USA and Australia will get to buy the 5G version of the phone. But the UK will get to buy the 5G version from September 18. It is not confirmed yet when the new Galaxy Fold will be launched in the USA and Australia.
