Asus’ first ever gaming smartphone could be unveiled at the Computex Taipei 2018.
About a month ago, Asus CEO Jerry Shan in an interview confirmed that the firm is working on a brand new gaming smartphone to take on the likes of Razer Phone and Xiaomi Black Shark. And now, as per a new report, the hardware giant could likely launch their very first gaming smartphone at the 2018 Computex Taipei, scheduled to begin in Taipei, Taiwan on 5th June.
There’s not much that we know about the handset as of now, besides the fact that it is in the making. However, it is obvious that the Asus Rog Phone, being a gaming-focused device, will come packed with top-of-the-line hardware and some neat software optimizations under the hood.
Some of the expected specifications include an 18:9 display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 6/8GB RAM, and 64/128GB of onboard storage.
To boost the smartphone gaming experience, the Asus Rog Phone is expected to feature a display with a refresh rate that goes up to 120Hz and a powerful speaker system, reminiscent of the Razer Phone.
