AT&T Galaxy S8, S8+ update: The new update weighs 137MB in size, and comes packed with July security patch.

AT&T is now rolling out a new update to their Galaxy S8 and S8+ devices. The update weighs 137MB in size and comes packed with the latest July security patch. After installing the update, you’ll find that the firmware version will bump to G950USQS1AQF7 and G955USQS1AQF7 for the Galaxy S8 and S8+ respectively.

Although the latest update doesn’t bring any new features on to the table, it surely fixes several vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and Samsung’s own software. Besides that, it also improves the overall performance of both devices.

The update is currently seeding over-the-air (OTA), and thus, it may take a while before arriving on your device. Nonetheless, if waiting is not your thing, you can head over to Settings -> About Phone and click Check for Updates to tune for updates manually.

Also, it is worth noting that the update still doesn’t bring the option to hide the navigation bar on these devices. This is quite a shame for AT&T for not providing a functionality that is available on the unlocked variants of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus devices since a month now.
