Best Third-Party App Stores For Your Smartphone

When searching for applications to install on your mobile device, you will usually head to the App Store or the Google Play Store. The former is where you will find a huge selection of apps for Apple devices and the latter is home to Android apps. However, the App Store and Google Play Store are not the only places where you can find apps and there are third-party app stores available.

One of the best third-party app stores is GetJar. Self-proclaimed as ‘the biggest open app store in the world’, you will find over 500,000 different apps available and there have been well over 2 billion downloads to date from the store. Founded in 2004 by Ilja Laurs, GetJar has received investor backing from Accel Partners and Tiger Global Management, allowing the website to move forward and offer a better service. Mobile platforms included at GetJar include Java ME, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile, and Android.

Those looking for one of the leading third-party app stores for their devices should head to Appland. Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Appland won the 2015 Red Herring Top Europe Award and was listed as one of the most promising Swedish startups in the same year. It allows businesses and individuals to launch their own app store plus create subscription services and distribute apps. Users can develop their own App store using custom branding and revenue streams.

However, perhaps the best third-party app store for those using an iOS device is AppValley. In business since 2017, AppValley is an independent American digital distribution service that allows users to download applications that are not available on the App Store. Some of the applications available at AppValley have been modified by individuals and this allows the use of the apps in countries where they may otherwise be blocked.

Those searching for an alternative way to install Android apps should head to the Amazon App Store. This was created in 2011 and there is a huge range of free and paid apps plus exclusive gaming apps. The Amazon App Store comes complete with its own currency system to buy games and make in-app purchases. So, if you are already using Amazon for music, reading, television shows, and movies, you can also add apps to the list.

One of the more complex industries when it comes to mobile apps is online gambling. There are thousands of mobile gambling operators out there, for both sports betting and casino gaming, but where can you find them? The regulations surrounding the distribution of gambling apps means you cannot always find the one you would like to install on the App Store or the Google Play Store.

If this is the case, one of the best methods to find the betting app you want is to search for a mobile app review. By finding a review for the gambling app you are looking for, you are guaranteed to see a link that will take you directly to the page where you can download the app. In the majority of cases, this will be the website of the operator, such as William Hill. You will find all the instructions you need to install the app on your device and begin enjoying the features.
