These are some of the best games that will come out in 2018
We all love getting excited about upcoming games in the near future. 2018 is no different. We will be looking at some of the best upcoming game releases for next year including PlayStation, Xbox, and PC!
Far Cry 5
Release Date: 27th February 2018
Platform: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Far Cry 5 has to be one of the most hyped up games coming in 2018. We have seen a lot of information surrounding the game and Far Cry fans are excited!
One of the biggest changes is the location. No longer will gamers be playing in a crazy exotic or ancient setting, instead Far Cry 5 is set in none other than the USA. Players will find themself playing as Montana in Hope County, a fictional region. As the new Sheriff in town, you will be fighting against the cult known as Project at Eden’s Gate.
Don’t worry, it won’t be some simple fight. In a true Far Cry style, you will be piloting a plane on a bombing run, fighting in an aerial view, ordering your animal companions and using a number of weapons, including sledgehammers and pitchforks, to take the cult down. And that isn’t all, however, I won’t spoil too much for you.
A Way Out
Release Date: Early 2018
Platform: PS4, Xbox One, PC
This game, in my opinion, is almost like a Shawshank crossed with Prison Break, based game.
There is one twist. The game is a co-op only story. This means you will have to either pair up with a buddy (or random player) online or get them over to play together.
However, I think this will be a big hit with gamers around the world.
Gamers will be playing as inmates Vincent and Leo, in an attempt to break out of prison. The split-screen co-op can present some awesome teamwork opportunities. You may be stuck in a cutscene, however, your teammate may be able to scout ahead and plan the next move and vice versa.
EA Sports UFC 3
Release Date: 2nd February 2018
Platform: PS4, Xbox One
UFC 3 is getting closer and fans want to jump in that octagon and conquer. This will be the 3rd installment of the UFC games and will be bringing some new features.
The newest feature coming to UFC 3 is the G.O.A.T gameplay. What is G.O.A.T you ask? It stands for Greatest Of All Time. This new gameplay feature is similar to Fifa’s Journey game mode.
Instead, gamers can choose the path for their fighters. This gives the player more freedom but could result in them becoming the G.O.A.T! Players will also have the decision with promotion meaning they could be making some big-time cash before the PPV matches.
Red Dead Redemption 2
Release Date: Early-Mid 2018
Platform: PS4, Xbox One
Are Rockstar Games going to pull another cracking game out of their hats? Sadly, there isn’t much information as of yet regarding RDR2.
However, Red Dead Redemption 2 will have to be one hell of a game. This is most likely why Rockstar Games wants more time to perfect the game for release.
One detail we do know about RDR2 is that there will be a multiplayer mode as well as the single-player story. Could this be the finishing touch that wins over fans? We will have to wait and find out.
Spider-Man
Release Date: 2018 (TBC)
Platform: PS4
Insomniac Games, the creators of the Ratchet and Clank games, have gone ahead and decided to create an open world superhero game. What better game to create other than Spider-Man himself!
It has been said that this game won’t be based on any specific movie (or comic). This gives the creators a lot of freedom without being stuck to a storyline.
However, as you swing your way through the streets, Spider-Man will most likely come up against multiple thugs. Not too much has been said about this game as of yet, however, it is one to look forward too!
Metal Gear Survive
Release Date: 20th February 2018
Platform: PS4, Xbox One, PC
Surprisingly, this Konami game, names Metal Gear Survive looks decent. Sadly, I don’t believe the game will be a huge hit after the removal of Kojima in 2015. This could make Metal Gear Survive a tough game to sell.
However, it actually looks like it could be a fun game. Players will be in an open world scenario fighting off enemies that almost seem like zombies.
As they say, you cant knock it until you’ve tried it.
Detroit: Become Human
Release Date: 2018 (TBC)
Platform: PS4 (Exclusive)
The creators of Beyond: Two Souls and Fahrenheit, Quantic Dream, are bringing PlayStation 4 gamers one of the best looking exclusives in 2018.
Players will be controlling multiple characters throughout the story, in a third-person over-the-shoulder view. Not only that, but you will be following an android with an artificial consciousness. The android, known as Kara is finding her place and seeing what it is truly like to live among humans.
