A picture allegedly showcasing what is supposedly the rear of incoming BlackBerry Key2 Lite phone has surfaced online. Echoing the recently launched BlackBerry Key2 smartphone, the Lite variant might as well rock a dual camera setup on the rear.
The leaked picture, courtesy of mobile leaker @evleaks (via GSMArena), shows the red color variant of the incoming Key2 Lite, though Evan Blass confirms that the device will be available in blue and copper variants as well.

Evan also tells us that the device could likely launch in late August or early September.
As a recap, the BlackBerry Key2 features a 4.5-inch 1080 x 1620p display, octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB RAM, 64/128GB storage, a dual 12MP+12MP rear camera setup, an 8MP selfie camera, and a 3500mAh battery. As for the software, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
BlackBerry Key2 Lite Expected Specs
The incoming BlackBerry Key2 Lite handset is expected to come with the same display as the original Key2. This means, the lite version will retain the 4.5-inch screen with a display resolution of 1080 x 1620 pixels.
The device will feature a dual camera setup on the rear, though the resolution of the lens is not known as of now. The original Key2 also has a dual camera setup, fitted with a 12MP f/1.8 and a 12MP f/2.6 sensors.
The Key2 Lite, being the watered-down variant of the Key2, is expected to feature 4GB RAM as opposed to 6GB RAM on the latter. Also, there might be only a 64GB storage variant, unlike the Key2 that is available in both 64GB and 128GB storage models.
Besides that, the phone is said to be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset — the same chip that powers the Key2. As of now, we don’t have any information regarding the front-facing camera and the battery capacity of Key2 Lite.
BlackBerry Key2 Lite Release Date
It’s been confirmed by Evan Blass himself that the BlackBerry Key2 Lite will see the light of the day in late August or early September. If we are to go by his words, we might likely see the device being showcased at the incoming IFA 2018, Berlin.
Following the launch event, the Lite variant is expected to be available for purchase to the consumers towards the end of September. It will be available in three color variants including Red, Blue, and Copper.
BlackBerry Key2 Lite Pricing
Being the lite variant that it is, the Key2 Lite will be priced relatively lower than the original Key2. We expect the device to be priced somewhere around $500 (approx 34,500 INR) in the United States. For the uninitiated, the Key2 currently retails for $649.99 on Amazon and is available in Black and Silver color variants.
