BlackBerry Motion will increase their availability in Europe by adding new markets such as Austria, Germany, and Switzerland.

BlackBerry has launched their latest mid-tier device – BlackBerry Motion – only in limited markets initially. The included the UK, Middle East, and the Netherlands. But, according to a new report, the device is prepping to release in more European markets.

According to GSMArena, the new BlackBerry Android phone is coming to markets such as Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. The website also notes that the preorders for the handset will start on October 19 and will set you back about 469 euros. In Switzerland, however, the device has a slightly lower price of CHF 489 ( 422 Euros).

BlackBerry Motion, launched at GITEX exhibition, features a 5.5-inch FullHD display. Besides that, other BlackBerry Motion specs include Snapdragon 625 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, and a 4000 mAh battery. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, however, you can expect the device to get Android 8.0 Oreo update in the coming months.

If you happen to be in the UK, you can preorder the device either from Clove or Carphone Warehouse. Both the carriers are selling the device for just the same price of 399 euros. The product will start shipping from November 10th onwards.

In their new advertisement, BlackBerry boasts of the premium aluminum frame, and IP67 water and dust certification of the Motion. The ad also highlights several security features of the new BlackBerry Android handset including the “LOCKER” feature, that lets you hide your photos and documents, and BlackBerry Private Shade, which can be used to restrict the field of view to a tiny area. Sure, the latter is available for download via Play Store for other Android handsets, but it’s not completely free. After the 30-day trial period, you’ll need to subscribe to the BB Hub+ to continue using the feature further. But for the BlackBerry phones, this premium feature comes out of the box.
