    Blackview S8 – a bezel-less phone that won’t cost you a packet

Blackview S8 is an almost bezel-less phone that won’t cost you a leg and an arm.

Ever thought if it’s possible to get a bezel-less phone without having to spend a packet on the same? Well then, you should definitely check out the Blackview S8 handset from the Hong Kong-based company Blackview. Their latest smartphone features an all-screen design with very slim bezels on the top and bottom reminiscent of the Galaxy S8.

Unlike the Galaxy S8, the Blackview S8 is, of course, a mid-range handset with pretty decent specs. The most impressive part about the handset is the $150 price tag, which is even lower than what most mid-tier handsets actually cost.

    Blackview S8 specs

As far as the specs are concerned, the Blackview S8 features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440x720p) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Besides, the phone is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.

To keep the lights on, the handset is backed by a decent 3180 mAh battery. The main highlight of the device is, however, the addition of four cameras — 13+0.3MP dual front and rear cameras. The device runs Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.

Mind you, the cheap sticker price on this device doesn’t mean that it’s sub-par to other midrange phones when it comes to quality. In fact, the S8 features a curved aluminum alloy frame which makes it comfortable for holding in hand.

In order to reserve maximum space for the display up front, the fingerprint reader is located on the rear. Unlike the Redmi Note 4, the Blackview S8 has a USB-C port on the bottom for charging and data transfer. However, on the downside, the handset does not feature a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is kind of a bummer. This $150 phone is also available in a bunch of colors including Magic Black, Silk Gold, and Coral Blue.
