Sony Xperia Concept: These fan-made renders of upcoming Sony Xperia flagship are just the best yet! The phone in the renders features an almost bezel-less design and a sleek look.

Sony’s recently released flagship, Xperia XZ Premium, is undoubtedly one of the best smartphones in the market today. It packs inside all top-notch hardware specifications and the latest software, that goes head-to-head with other flagships in the market. However, it lacks something: A new design! That doesn’t mean the handset doesn’t look any good. The XZ Premium does sport a rather beautiful design, but we can all agree on the fact that it hasn’t strayed far from the original Xperia Z (2013) in terms of design. Or can’t we?

Saber KchiKech, a 3D artist, has recently tweeted an Xperia concept, that indeed looks very sleek and attractive. He also mentioned that the video was made using CINEMA 4D, and rendered using Vray. While maintaining the typical OmniBalance glass-slab design, the artist has slimmed down the bezels from all sides, thus giving it a truly elegant and polished look.

If reports are to be believed, Sony is bringing two more flagships this year. While one of them will sport a fancy all-front display design, the other could feature a normal design. 2017 has introduced various trends in the mobile industry, including, slim bezels and dual-lens camera setup. And, every major smartphone makers, including LG, Samsung and OnePlus, have inclined towards these trends implementing them in their premium phones. On the other hand, Sony hasn’t fallen for these gimmicks as of now. Needless to say, Xperia phones are popular for their great cameras even with a single sensor. So, I wouldn’t care much if the upcoming flagships don’t come with dual cameras. However, like every Xperia fans out there, I would love to see a smartphone with very slim bezels from Sony.

That’s all from my side! So, what are your expectations from the upcoming Sony Xperia flagships that will probably debut at IFA? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Abhin’s love for all things tech started when he got his first smartphone, Galaxy S (the first), in 2010. Since then, he has been crazy about technology and tried out all major Android flagships from Samsung, and HTC. He currently uses a Google Pixel 4a as his daily driver.
