The 8th Gen Coffee Lake Chip
Back in September, Intel announced their latest 8th generation Coffee Lake desktop chips. It was said that the lineup was going to contain the best CPU for gaming ever. However, many were disappointed with the small lineup. Apparently, there would only be six processors and they are only compatible with the Z370 Chipset.
Eight New Coffee Lake-S CPU’s Leaked
A list was recently leaked containing unreleased info on the up and coming Coffee Lake chips. According to this list, the chips will range from a Celeron G4900 to a Core i5-8600.
Celerons
There will be two entry-level Celerons. The G4900 and G4920 will feature two cores and two threads. They will also have 2MB of cache and be 3.1 – 3.2GHz.
Pentium Gold
We will be seeing three Pentium Gold model chips; the G5400, G5500, and G5600. These will feature 2 cores and 4 threads, 4MB of cache and be 3.7 – 3.9GHz.
Intel Core
From looking at the list, we can see that there will be a new Core i3-8300 chip. This is rumored to be 4 cores and 4 threads, 8MB of cache and be 3.7GH.
Finally, the two i5 chips. The i5-8500 and i5-8600 will be the last two of eight chips to be released. They are rumored to have 6 cores and 6 threads, 9MB of cache and be 3.0 – 3.1GHz.
The first 5 chips (Celeron and Pentium Gold will come with UHD graphics 620 IGP. However, the Intel Core chips will come with UHD graphics 630 IGP.
Sadly, we have no news on any new i7 CPU’s.
Price
From the leaked list, it seems that the entry-level CPU will start at $64 and the high-end i5-8600 will be $329. However, these prices are unconfirmed.
