Samsung Galaxy S8 series receives the “Best Smartphone” title at Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2017.

Samsung flagships Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are undoubtedly the best smartphones released this year. Both these devices pack the latest and greatest hardware specifications as well as software. Above all, there’s that stunning Infinity display and gorgeous curved design that makes them the hottest phones of 2017.

Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy S8 series is awarded the “Best Smartphone” in the Asia Mobile Awards 2017 (AMOs) at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2017. The award was accepted by Mr. Tong Wang, who is the Executive Vice President of Samsung Electronics, China.

Galaxy S8 and S8+ Plus were launched in March this year. Talking about the specifications, the Galaxy S8 features a 5.8-inch display and a 3000 mAh battery. Under the hood is an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It has got a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera.

Meanwhile the Galaxy S8+ is a bigger variant of Galaxy S8, featuring a 6.2-inch display and a 3500 mAh battery. Unlike the Galaxy S8, the Plus variant is available in two storage variants; 4GB RAM plus 64GB storage and 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage.

The Korean tech giant shared the happy news via their official news site:

“Samsung Electronics announced today that the Galaxy S8 and S8+ earned ‘Best Smartphone’ honors at the 2017 Asia Mobile Awards (‘the AMOs’), held each year to recognize game-changing mobile innovations at Asia’s largest mobile event, Mobile World Congress Shanghai.”
