Google’s Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will have Apple iPhone’s worst feature

Google will launch their upcoming phones Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 later this year. Latest renders of the handsets hint that these devices will copy one of the worst features of Apple iPhone.

As smartphone fans, we are all looking forward to the launch of these greatest upcoming phones – iPhone 8, Google Pixel 2, Pixel XL 2, Galaxy Note 8, Xperia XZ1 and LG V30. Of all these, the handsets that received the most leaks and rumors are undoubtedly the iPhone 8 and the Google Pixel 2. I could say this without a speck of doubt: iPhone 8 and Google Pixel 2 are two of the biggest upcoming releases of this year.

There are rumors spreading on the web that Google Pixel 2 and its bigger brother would be the first phones to launch with the yet to release Snapdragon 836 chipset on board. Also, the rumors suggest that these beasts will likely pack at least 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. However, above all, the hard core Android fans are indeed waiting for the pure Android experience that these devices will offer.

But this time around, it looks like Google Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will possibly pack one of the worst features of the iPhones. As per the renders that leaked recently, the upcoming “Made by Google” phones will not sport a 3.5mm headphone jack like the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. If that’s true, this could indeed be a bummer for the audiophiles with very expensive wired headphones.

And since the leaked renders originated from reliable sources, this new change could likely come true for the upcoming Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL devices. Last year, Apple had to face fierce criticism from fans and critics alike for removing the headphone jack from their flagship devices.

Since none of the details regarding the Pixel devices are official yet, we can all hope for now that Google wouldn’t opt for such a tragic move. Besides that, the Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are shaping up to be two of the hottest Android phones to launch in 2017 with top-of-the-line specifications coupled with a beautiful design. Also, rumors are suggesting that Google will probably launch the handsets sometime in October this year, and shall go on sale later that month.

Do NOT believe Google would be that stupid. I bet that when they are released they will have a headphone jack.

We heard the same rumors with the Samsung phones for 2 years now yet we have headphone jacks. Apple without Jobs is why they were stupid in removing.

BTW, the headphone jack will be on the top when released.

Based on the new renders, they are neither on the top as well. But yes, we can’t be sure of that now! https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/5061810b6ebb834d18675863741e59d8bef4dab62973c393d8d4e594965f8b79.jpg

True. LG V30 has indeed impressed me as well, far more than what the Note 8 did. IMO it’s the best Android phone released so far 🙂

Now that I’ve loaded BlackBerry Hub onto my V, it is almost the perfect phone. If it had BB’s intuitive text input, that would seal the deal.

            Hi James,
I had to go for the OnePlus 5 as the V30 wasn’t available in my part of the world until recently.
Good to hear from you after long time. It’s been a while since I wrote this article. 🙂
