Wanna know about the specs of the upcoming Nokia 8? There’s no denying the fact that Nokia was once the king on the smartphone markets. But, Nokia then had to face a slow death ever since it got acquired by Microsoft for making Windows-powered phones. Fast forward to today, Nokia is no more a smartphone company; it’s just a smartphone brand owned by yet another Finnish company HMD Global. And, it doesn’t run Symbian or Windows anymore, instead, they run the most popular operating system on the planet – Android.

But, none of the HMD selling Nokia phones has high-end specs, nor they feature a beautiful design. However, Nokia is launching a new phone on August 16th with Galaxy S8-grade specs, all packed in an ugly design. Dubbed the Nokia 8, the phone will still retain the super ugly design like its younger sibling Nokia 6.

Check out the ugly-looking Nokia 8.

Let’s put an end to my opinions on the Nokia 8’s design and move on to the real subject. The handset has recently visited benchmarking site Geekbench revealing some of its key specifications. Although many of these details have leaked multiple times before, it’s worth noting that none of them came from trusted sources. But now as the device has appeared on GeekBench, we can finally confirm the specifications of the handset.

According to the listing, it will feature a 5.3-inch Quad HD display with huge ugly bezels on the top and bottom. Besides that, it will be powered by octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, along with 4GB RAM and 64 or 128GB of internal storage.

The phone will run the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS, and should come with a microSD card slot to expand storage up to 256GB. It will pack 13MP front facing camera, fingerprint sensor, notification LED, and dual speakers. However, the main highlight of the device is the dual camera setup on the back with two 13MP Zeiss sensors and a relatively lower price tag – rumored to be around $600.

Abhin’s love for all things tech started when he got his first smartphone, Galaxy S (the first), in 2010. Since then, he has been crazy about technology and tried out all major Android flagships from Samsung, and HTC. He currently uses a Google Pixel 4a as his daily driver.
