It looks like Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is on a phone launching spree. The Chinese company has just launched yet another mid-range smartphone in Russia.
It looks like Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is busy launching device after device. Just about two days ago, it launched Honor 7X with a new impressive design and decent specs. And today, the company has launched yet another mid-tier smartphone in Russia. Dubbed Honor 6C Pro, the new device is only an incremental upgrade over the Honor 6C launched last year.
Honor 6C Pro vs Honor 6C: What has changed?
You won’t find any significant improvements on the 6C Pro compared to the Honor 6C. In fact, the new device sports just the same design, although the bezels have been slightly slimmed down this time.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Honor 6C Pro features a 5.2-inch HD (720p) display with a 2.5D glass on top. Now to compare, the 6C came with a slightly smaller 5-inch 720p display. Besides, the new offering is powered by a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor (vs Snapdragon 435 on 6C), 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
The Honor 6C Pro features just the same rear camera module as last year’s 6C, which is a 13MP single shooter with f/2.2 aperture. However, the front camera has been bumped from 5MP (on 6C) to 8MP (on 6C Pro). What’s slightly disappointing, however, is that the 6C Pro features a slightly lower capacity battery when compared to the 6C. That is, the 6C pro has a 3000 mAh battery, which is 200 mAh lower than that of the latter.
In terms of software, the Honor 6C Pro runs on Android 7.0 nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top. On the other hand, the Honor 6C came loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
Honor 6C Pro Price
The Honor 6C Pro handset comes in three color variants, i.e, Gold, Blue and Black. As of now, we have no details regarding the price and availability of the smartphone. But, we expect it to priced not more than the 6C considering that there are not many noticeable upgrades over the last year’s counterpart.
