A GeekBench listing has revealed the specs of IQOO 3 handset. Also, an official Weibo post reveals it will come with UFS 3.1 storage.

IQOO is all set to launch its first smartphone in India later this month, and a new GeekBench listing has revealed the specs of the upcoming IQOO 3 smartphone. Touted to be a gaming device, recent render leaks have given us a clear idea on what to expect from the handset in terms of design and now the TENAA and GeekBench listings reveal the hardware specs of IQOO 3.

According to TENAA listing, the Vivo IQOO 3 (just IQOO 3 in India as IQOO is a standalone brand in the country) comes with the model name V1955A and features a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, 4 cameras on the rear, 128GB and 256GB storage options and a massive 4,370mAh battery. It further reveals that the CPU will have 8 cores with a frequency of 2.84GHz — we’re likely looking at a Snapdragon 865 chipset. The device will come out in multiple RAM variants — 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB.

Meanwhile, the GeekBench listing has the model name as Vivo I1927, which could be the Indian variant of IQOO 3. On the performance side of things, the device managed to score 914 points on the single-core test and 3217 points on the multi-core test. Per the listing, the device runs on an 8-core processor with a base frequency of 1.8GHz.

An official post reveals IQOO 3 to sport UFS 3.1 storage

A post shared by IQOO phone, the official handle for IQOO related updates, goes: ‘UFS 3.1 is so fast to use, see you in February!’ reveals two important updates on the incoming smartphone. One, the handset will come sporting the UFS 3.1 storage tech. And the other, we will see the phone go official sometime in February.

In case you didn’t know, the UFS 3.1 tech was announced in January this year and is said to offer faster write speeds, better power efficiency, and more stable performance under load. It comes with three new key improvements which include Write Booster to amplify write speeds, DeepSleep technology that uses a low power state by sharing the UFS voltage regulators with other functions, and Performance Throttling Notification to notify the device when the storage performance is being throttled due to temperature.
