Hands on pictures of Galaxy S8 Active has leaked online, showing off the phone in every possible angle. The phone will allegedly feature a massive 4000 mAh battery.
We already know that a rugged variant of the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy S8 Active, is already in the works. The handset was also almost confirmed in a couple of documents obtained from Samsung’s official website. Other than that, we didn’t know much about the phone until a bunch of hands on images of the Galaxy S8 Active surfaced online on Sunday, July 23rd.
The latest leaks come from a Twitter user Dominque Henderson who seem to have gotten hold of the handset (probably a prototype) even before the official launch. His tweet reads, “Follow to enter giveaway!!“, meaning that he would give away a Galaxy S8 Active handset to one of his followers. Whatever the case may be, we suggest you take a look at the hands on images below.
As per the photos, the S8 Active will allegedly sport a 4000 mAh battery, which sounds insane! Besides that, the fingerprint sensor is located next to a single rear camera with dual tone LED flash. On the bottom, you’ll find a 3.5mm headphone jack, a USB-C port, a noise-cancelling mic, and speaker grill. The volume rocker and power/unlock buttons are present on the left side, while the SIM/microSD slot is present on the right side of the handset.
According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S8 Active will feature a 5-4 inch screen with a resolution of 2008 x 1080 pixels. Other features include a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of onboard storage, 12MP rear camera, 8MP front camera. The handset will run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box. Also, it will pack features such as Samsung’s Always-on display, Samsung Pay, Samsung Dex docking station and Bixby integration.
