The LG V30+ will land in India on December 13.
Looking to upgrade to a new flagship device in the New Year? Your options just got a little more diversified, as LG is gearing up to add a new entrant to the mix for India buyers as early as next week. The multinational electronics giant has announced that it’ll launch its latest flagship device, the LG V30+, in India on December 13. The smartphone was originally launched at the IFA 2017 in August.
Putting a stamp of certainty on its plans, LG India has already sent out invites for the launch event scheduled to take place in New Delhi. The V30+ happens to be the second phone launched by the company this year, following the release of LG G6. The only difference between the LG V30 and V30 Plus is the inbuilt storage capacity. The V30+ sports an internal memory of 128GB, as opposed to 64GB of storage in the V30. Apart from this, the two devices are identical.
The LG V30+ is a GSM single-SIM phone sporting LG’s UX 6.0+ skin, a 6-inch QHD+ OLED FullVision display with a 1440×2880 resolution, a pixel density of 538ppi, and HDR10 support. It runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and is powered by octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC processor. The phone has 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and an internal storage capacity of 128GB of inbuilt storage, expandable up to 2TB via a micro SD card.
Another highlight of the V30+ is the Floating Bar that is designed to display shortcuts and can be disabled at will. This new feature is a marked improvement from the secondary display featured in the previous generations of V-Series phones. The flagship device is fitted with a dual camera setup, sporting a 16 MP primary rear camera with a 71-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.6 aperture, and a 13MP camera with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and f/1.9 aperture. It has a 5MP wide-angle 90-degree lens camera on the front for video calling and selfies. On the connectivity front, the V30+ is fitted with all new-age features, including USB Type-C, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
It is a sleek device measuring 151.70×75.40×7.30 mm and weighing a mere 158 grams.
