The final build of Android 8.0 Oreo has started rolling out to LG V30 devices.
LG’s V30 may not be as successful as Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 when it comes to sales, but the former has already started receiving the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update while the latter still runs outdated Android Nougat OS.
The new update for the LG V30 smartphones is pretty huge at 1412MB and brings all the Android Oreo goodies to the table. This, of course, includes Picture-in-Picture mode, new emojis, notification dots, cooler-looking icons, and more.

That’s not it! According to LG’s Korean website, the latest update, that is available over-the-air as well as through the LG Bridge software, also contains some LDAC-related improvements.
We can all take a moment to appreciate the good work that guys at LG have been doing to push the update well before the end of 2017. Samsung, on the other hand, hasn’t figured out as to when they would roll out the Oreo update to the Galaxy S8 and Note 8 users.
Launched in August this year, the LG V30 features a beautiful all-screen design with a 6-inch P-OLED QHD display upfront. The device is run on octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, backed by 4GB RAM. It’s available in two storage variants: 64GB and 128GB (LG V30 Plus).
On the camera front, the V30 has a dual (16MP + 13MP) rear camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. The handset packs a 3300mAh battery, that supports QC 3.0 fast charging, to keep the juice flowing.
