LG V30 could lack its most unique feature and it doesn’t sound good

LG V30 could likely launch towards the end of next month, but rumors are suggesting it might lack one of the unique features of the LG V series.

We all know by now that LG is working on the next LG V flagship, the LG V30 handset, that could likely launch towards the end of August. There is no denying the fact that LG is the only company that is striving to integrate some super interesting and innovative features on their flagships, besides Apple, of course. Their V series handsets have always proved unique in terms of design as well as features. And certainly, they came loaded with the latest and greatest hardware specifications. But, rumors and leaks around the device are suggesting that LG has indeed opted for some compromises on their forthcoming phablet. And, we are talking about some savage compromises here that could result in the loss of potential buyers.

Unlike the copycats in the industry, LG has always stood true to the word “innovation” – making handsets that are weirdly good. For instance, one of the most loved features of both LG V10 and V20 was the secondary display that stood on top of the main display. Although it might seem gimmicky to a few, it has always proved useful for accessing recent apps, contacts, music player and more.

Unfortunately, we won’t be seeing that feature on the forthcoming LG V30. What a bummer! The information was first passed to us by XDA Developers and was recently confirmed in a video that claims to be the final design of the LG V30 handset. But, so what? Instead of a weird secondary display, LG is extending the main display until the extreme top, thus bringing us an edge-to-edge display or all-screen front display with very narrow bezels on the top and bottom. Doesn’t it sound cool now?

LG V30 handset’s recent visit to GeekBench throws light on the fact that LG has further compromised on hardware specs of the new device. As per the listing, the V30 could feature a Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4GB of RAM. Although that sounds pretty good with the current standards, we shouldn’t forget that V30 is supposed to compete with the forthcoming Galaxy Note 8, which is rumored to come with Snapdragon 836 chipset and 6GB of RAM on board.
