Popular leakster Evan Blass seems pretty sure about it.

If you’ve thought only the bigger variant of the LG V30 series – V30 Plus – will come with the Quad DAC support, then you might probably be dead wrong. One of the oft-reliable mobile leakers, Evan Blass, has just confirmed that all the V30 phones, irrespective of the regions it should be available, will feature Quad DAC onboard. Last time, LG launched two variants of its flagship phone, LG G6: one with built-in Quad DAC which was exclusive to Asian markets, and the other with no Quad DAC for the US and European markets. But, that’s apparently not happening this time with the V30 handsets, confirms Evan Blass.

Apart from Quad DAC, LG’s new V flagships will also feature wireless charging and edge-to-edge OLED displays. To compete with the recently launched Galaxy Note 8, LG is also bringing a Plus variant of the LG V30 phone, which should pack extra storage (128GB) and more RAM (6GB).

As far as the specs are concerned, the LG V30 will pack a 6.0-inch Full Vision display while the V30 Plus should pack a slightly larger 6.3-inch display. Other hardware specs/features which will debut on both these phones include Snapdragon 835 processor, fingerprint sensor, dual-13MP camera, and 8MP front-facing camera.

Unlike the previous generation handsets, the new devices WON’T pack a secondary ticker and removable battery. However, LG has already found a virtual alternative to the former feature in its latest UI, UX 6.0+. It has added a new significant feature called the “Floating Bar” – a small semi-transparent bar which shows up on the display for handy access to recently used applications.

Both the V30 and V30 Plus will be unveiled a day before the debut of IFA 2017, i.e., August 31st. After that, it should go on sale globally starting September 15.

Abhin’s love for all things tech started when he got his first smartphone, Galaxy S (the first), in 2010. Since then, he has been crazy about technology and tried out all major Android flagships from Samsung, and HTC. He currently uses a Google Pixel 4a as his daily driver.
