LG is really bad at keeping surprises! The price of the recently unveiled LG V30 phone is now almost official.
After months of leaks and rumors, LG announced their latest flagship offering, LG V30, at the IFA tech show last week. However, LG was rather tight-lipped about the pricing and availability of the handset. The Korean tech firm apparently revealed only the specs, features and release date of the said handset at the event.
There were speculations that the new V flagship would share similar pricing characteristics as the recently unveiled Note 8, which sells at $1000 in the US. But, thanks to terms and conditions specified on an official LG contest, it turns out that the V30 will be much cheaper than the Note 8. The contest will give away 3 units of the LG V30 smartphone to the winners, and it mentions that each prize is worth $749.99. However, the addition of sales and states tax to the said amount will bring it to around $800, but that’s still $150 lower than what Note 8 costs.
Speaking of the specs, LG V30 features a 6-inch P-OLED screen with a display resolution of 1440 x 2880 pixels. Besides, it comes with 4GB RAM, 64/128GB storage, and 3300 mAh battery. The main selling points of the device are, of course, the dual-16MP camera setup on the rear and Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Finally, LG has a new phone to really be proud of, enter the V30. Outside of the REMOVEABLE BATTERY I Don’t see any major flaws. I think it will compete with the top dogs. The floating bar & the 1.6 camera lens look interesting. The only thing I would suggest to LG is keep the price in the 700.00 range. Much more affordable than the note & iphone8! Good job LG!
The removable battery was probably the biggest thing it had going for it. Why bother with this phone when you could just get a Note 8?
