Say Hello to the Moto Z2 Force with new Moto Mods! The Moto Z2 Force is now official with Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, and dual-12MP cameras.
Two days ago, we reported about a leak that showcased live pictures of the Moto Z2 Force with dual cameras. And now, the phone has officially launched with high-end specifications and brand new Moto mods. It’s worth noting that there haven’t been any notable changes to the front side of the phone compared to the recently launched Moto Z2 Play.
The Moto Z2 Force packs a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, that is protected by Motorola’s ShatterShield Technology. The technology will prevent the display from scratching or breaking even when the phone is dropped. That sounds like a must-have feature for today’s phones boasting all-screen front design like the Galaxy S8.
It’s worth noting that the Z2 Force packs Galaxy S8-grade specs, featuring Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to a whopping 2TB with a microSD card. It runs Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. However, the company has promised the Android O update for the phone in the near future.
Talking about the camera department, the device comes with a pair of 12MP sensors on the back with rapid phase detection auto focus and laser focus up to 5 meters. Similar to the iPhone 7 Plus, one of these sensors is monochrome, while the other is an RGB sensor. The selfies are handled by a 5MP front facing camera that is paired with a front facing flash.
Priced at $799, the Moto Z2 Force will be available in three color variants, including Black, White-Gold and Slate Gray. However, the Slate Gray variant will be available exclusively on T-Mobile. Speaking of availability, the device will be available on all popular carriers across the United States.
Needless to say, all the new and old Moto Mods will work on the newly released phone without any issues. Speaking of new Moto Mods, it includes the Moto 360 Camera Mod that can shoot 4K videos with 3D sound, and the Moto GamePad Mod which is basically a game controller for the Moto Z phones.
