The upcoming Honor 7X smartphone is shaping up to be one of the hottest budget smartphones of 2017.
Finally, Moto X4 is going to have a worthy competitor in the budget smartphone segment. Huawei is prepping to launch a new device on October 11, which according to a new leak, will feature a starting price of 1799 Yuan ($270). Dubbed Honor 7X, the Chinese smartphone maker has already started teasing about the phone on Weibo. In fact, it was only two days ago that the manufacturer revealed the launch date of the device along with a text that reads: “Want to see farther than ordinary people? Higher? Wider? Everywhere is your world”. Well, that could possibly mean that the company is finally joining the all-screen design bandwagon with the debut of Honor 7X.
According to new reports, the Honor 7X will come in two variants: one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage while the other should feature 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. A newly leaked picture, that surfaced on Weibo, allegedly shows that the 3GB and 4GB variants will be priced around $270 and $315 respectively.
Although the phone will debut only after a week from now, we know pretty much everything there is to know about the Honor 7X. Previous leaks have suggested that the handset will feature a 5.93-inch FullHD display, a 12+20MP dual camera setup, octa-core Kirin 659 processor, 3240 mAh battery and 8MP front camera.
If the leaks are true, Huawei is bringing a rather new beast to the mid-tier smartphone market which could possibly rival the sales of other affordable handsets like Moto X4 and Moto G5s Plus. And, here is a hoping it would launch in other countries as well, and not just be a yet another China exclusive.
