Popular Nokia-centric website NokiaPowerUser affirms the recently “leaked” GFXBench details of Nokia 9 to be fake.
Finally getting a sneak peek at some of the key specs of the Nokia 9 may be a good news for some hard-core Nokia fans, a sign that hints Nokia is indeed going to release the device at some point in the future. But as it turns out, the recently “leaked” GFXBench details allegedly showcasing the Nokia 9 specs in full could be completely fake, at least according to NokiaPowerUser.
The website pokes fun at those websites which jumped the gun and reported the leak as it is, without doing any sort of research on the same. According to NokiaPowerUser, the recently “leaked” GFXBench specs sheet showcases the specifications of Nokia’s recently unveiled flagship – Nokia 8 – and NOT that of the forthcoming Nokia 9.
The GFXBench sheet clearly shows the model numbers – TA-1004, TA-1012, TA-1052 – which we’ve previously identified to be the different variants of Nokia 8.
At this point, Android Marvel can confirm that the forthcoming flagship from Nokia will be available in two storage variants: 4/64GB and 6/128GB. It will boast a dual camera setup on the back backed by Carl Zeiss lens, reminiscent of that of the Nokia 8. The display will be slightly larger at 5.5-inch opposed to the 5.3-inch setup on the Nokia 8.
