An official press render posted to Weibo confirms what we’ve heard thus far about Nokia X6.
HMD Global‘s upcoming mid-range Nokia-branded smartphone dubbed Nokia X6 has been revealed in what appears to be an official press render, further confirming what we’ve heard thus far along with potential pricing of the handset. The firm has previously confirmed that the phone will go official on May 16, although no details about the handset have been made official.
We’ve already seen the handset in a bunch of live pictures earlier, so this newly ‘leaked’ press render is not much of a big deal. The render, which goes in line with previous leaks, confirms that the front-facing design of Nokia X6 will be reminiscent of the iPhone X, which means you’ll be getting a massive 5.8-inch notched display with 19:9 aspect ratio.
Aside from being the first Nokia phone to rock an 19:9 display, the Nokia X6 will also feature a dual camera setup on the rear, expected to be backed by Carl Zeiss lens. Similar to other recently launched Nokia phones — Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 8 Sirocco, the fingerprint reader on the upcoming device will be located below the rear camera setup.
Though the device features a design we’ve come to expect from a premium flagship device, it is not going to be one. In fact, rumors have it that the X6 will be priced at around $250 when it launches next week. Pricing this gorgeous-looking device at $250 will give it a competitive advantage over its rivals including the Redmi Note 5 Pro and Huawei P20 Lite.
As I’ve mentioned already, the device will go official on May 16 at a press event in Beijing. This means we are only a little more than a week away from the official unveiling. Make sure to visit this space often as we uncover more details about the upcoming Nokia budget-friendly handset.
