Although we’ve heard almost everything there is to know about the OnePlus 5T, there are still a few questions that still muddle the OnePlus fans.

As we near the alleged OnePlus 5T release on November 16, the Android fans across the globe are getting as excited as ever. The new OnePlus phone will feature a brand new all-screen design with very slim bezels running along the display.

The 5T’s recent visit to the Chinese benchmarking tool, Antutu, confirmed a few of its key specifications. Besides the obvious design changes, the 5T will echo the same specs as the OnePlus 5. That means, it will come with a Snapdragon 835 processor, and dual 16+20MP rear camera setup.

Like the OnePlus 5, the OnePlus 5T will be available in two storage variants, i.e, 6GB RAM/64GB storage, and 8GB RAM/128GB storage. Antutu listing also confirmed that the device will run Android Oreo out of the box.

However, there is one question muddling the OnePlus fans across the globe: Will the OnePlus 5T retain a headphone jack?

If you take a look at the recent trend, you’ll find out that several major smartphone makers have already bid their farewell to the 3.5mm headphone jack in favor of an all-screen design. Apple was the first to undertake this ‘courageous’ move and has never looked back with regrets. And now, with the recently released Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Google seems to have no love for the jack either.

Just because the OnePlus 5T is going to feature an all-screen front design doesn’t mean that it won’t have a headphone jack. Take a look at the Galaxy S8 and Note 8, and you’ll know what I’m talking about. Both these phones boast the same sort of design but have still retained a headphone jack.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei is notorious for giving out key features about the upcoming phones via his tweets. A recent poll put up by Carl shows that 85% of the smartphone users still prefer to have a headphone jack on their devices. Seeing the response from Carl’s followers, it seems unlikely for the Chinese company to ditch the headphone jack on the forthcoming OnePlus 5T.
