Oppo F9 is an upcoming budget-offering from the Chinese firm that will follow the existing F-series lineup that includes Oppo F5 and Oppo F7. The device is expected to go official sometime in August, though the exact launch date is still a mystery as of now.
For the uninitiated, the F-series smartphones from Oppo are promoted as selfie-centric devices and come with top-notch front-facing camera hardware to please hard-core selfie lovers. The new addition is not going to be any different and is expected to top the 20MP front-facing snapper of Oppo F7.
Prior to official launch, Oppo Malaysia on Sunday tweeted a promo poster revealing some design features of the forthcoming handset. It’s been made obvious from the promo poster that the Oppo F9 will come with an all-display front with “waterdrop screen” (whatever that means!) and a notch at the top of the display. As for the “waterdrop screen”, we assume Oppo might be talking about some sort of water-proof certification that the device could potentially feature.
According to TechNave, this upcoming F-series smartphone could feature a 6.3-inch Full HD display, MediaTek Helio P60 chipset, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, dual (16MP + 5MP) rear cameras, and a 3500mAh battery.
Keep going for the official Oppo F9 poster from Oppo Malaysia.
