Who would’ve thought anyone could come up with a better way to make a custom-built PC any more interesting, other than shoving RGB lights and a few water cooling loops in there. That’s exactly what Origin PC did on its 10th anniversary with the launch of Big O. This monster of a custom-built PC has every major console on the market crammed into a single chassis.
Origin PC is a well-known maker of custom gaming systems, that has surprised us with many fascinating custom PC builds over the years. This year on its 10th anniversary the company has decided to update its Big O with its successor Big O 2.0 that may as well be described as every gamer’s dream system. The original Big O was a marvel back in 2009 when it launched packing an Xbox 360 and a high-end gaming PC into a single body. Well, this year Origin PC has decided to take things a step further. The 2019 edition Big O 2.0 combines an Xbox One X, a PlayStation 4 Pro, a Nintendo Switch and a high-end gaming machine all into one.
“The Big O name is a throwback to our hulking custom PC from 2009 that combined a high-end gaming PC with an Xbox 360. This 2019 edition of the Big O combines an Xbox One X, a PlayStation 4 Pro, a Nintendo Switch, and an extremely high-end gaming PC all into our flagship GENESIS desktop chassis,” said Origin PC.
The team at Origin PC has been hard at work with the Big O, they managed to strip the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro out of their shells and install them in a PC cabinet. Both the Xbox One X and the PS4 Pro are water-cooled with matching colored cryogenic liquids. Both the consoles are also provided with 2TB of Seagate’s Barracuda SATA SSD. In the case of Nintendo Switch, there is a front-facing dock built into the case, so you can use the Switch as a portable console if you wish or dock it and go for the full monitor experience.
And of course, as you would expect from a custom-built gaming PC, the specs of the PC is top of the line. It features an Intel Core i9-9900K processor paired with an NVIDIA TITAN RTX graphics card. 64 GB of RAM, 2x 2TB Samsung 970 EVO NVMe SSDs and a 14TB Seagate BarraCuda hard disk drive. It also uses the same cryogenic hardline liquid cooling as the consoles.
