Wait, an actual interesting tool on r/SideProject? Get out!
It’s not everyday that you come across something so unique and cool on the various subreddits dedicated to side projects. It’s usually full of prodigies considering dropping out of high-school after their SaaS app made a $100 in an year, a thousandth iteration of one popular SaaS, courses on how to build SaaS in three days, SaaS to create more SaaS… well, you get the idea. But this one is different, and the best of all — it’s not a SaaS.
PieterPost is a tool that lets you send real mail (read: letters) like a text message. All you need to do is go to their website, click ‘Send a letter’ and start typing in the message. Messages are limited to 2000 characters, but you can also attach a document or image to go along with it. Sending a basic letter costs €2, but adding in docs could set you back a little extra. Once paid, you can sit back and relax while the folks (well, let’s face it — it’s probably just one guy working with mail services) at PieterPost do all the hard work of printing, stamping and delivering your letter to your loved one anywhere in the world.
