Samsung is rolling out the March security patch update to Galaxy A8 (2018) users.

If you’re a Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) user, then you should probably receive a new software update over-the-air anytime soon. If you haven’t received already, that is. The update is none other than the latest security patch update for the month of March that should reportedly fix some security issues including nine critical vulnerabilities in the Android operating system and five Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE).

The update hits the new Samsung Galaxy A8 devices with the firmware version A530FXXU2ARB9. However, there is no information when it comes to the size of the update. As with every OTA updates, it’s worth noting that it may take a while before it hits your smartphone.

If waiting is not your thing, you can always check for updates manually by visiting Settings -> About Phone -> Check for Updates. Nevertheless, to say, your device should have a minimum of 50 percent charge before opting to install the update. Also, make sure to perform a backup of all important files before you click the download button.
