It’s an open secret that Samsung is working on an Android tablet that may debut anytime soon. We’ve been hearing about the upcoming Galaxy Tab Active 2 for quite a while now. In fact, we know everything there is to know about the specs of this incoming device. As if that wasn’t enough already, peeps at Androidu have just spotted the user manual of the tablet on Samsung’s official website.

Most importantly, the manual highlights that the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 will come with an S-Pen onboard like the Galaxy Note 8. Apart from that, the manual also shows that the back cover of the device is detachable, which also means that it should have a removable battery. According to SamMobile, the tablet will come loaded with Samsung’s own voice assistant, Bixby. However, the website notes, “it [Bixby] will be limited to its card-based contextual self. The tablet only features Bixby Home so don’t keep your fingers crossed for voice functionality powered by Bixby Voice”.

As per the user manual, the tablet will have a single rear camera along with a flash on the rear. On the bottom, it should come with a headphone jack, microphone, and speaker grill. For connectivity, the forthcoming Galaxy Tab Active 2 should support Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, and NFC.

As per an FCC listing, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 should feature an 8-inch screen with a display resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. To compare, the original Galaxy Tab Active came with just the same display about three years ago. It’s quite disappointing to see Samsung not doing any improvements over the display. Apart from that, this mid-range tablet will be powered by an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor along with 3 gigs of RAM and 16 gigs of storage. It is said to be fueled by a 4450 mAh battery, which is just the same as its predecessor.

Update 14/10: Popular mobile leaker, Roland Quandt, has tweeted a picture allegedly showcasing the forthcoming Galaxy Tab Active 2.

Abhin’s love for all things tech started when he got his first smartphone, Galaxy S (the first), in 2010. Since then, he has been crazy about technology and tried out all major Android flagships from Samsung, and HTC. He currently uses a Google Pixel 4a as his daily driver.
