Sony’s First Dual Camera Phone – Sony H3213 – is on the way

Sony is about to join the dual camera bandwagon with their upcoming handset dubbed Sony H3213.

Sony is yet to make a dual camera phone and that honor might go to a Sony XA2 Ultra device. A new GFXBench benchmark suggests that Sony H3213 will feature a dual camera setup on the front. Yes, you read that right! Unlike most dual camera powered phones out there, the Xperia XA2 Ultra will have the feature on the front, and not on the rear.

The exact name of the handset is unknown as of now. However, our best bet is that it should be the XA2 Ultra, an upgraded variant of the 2016 mid-range phablet Xperia XA1 Ultra. But then again, we are not very sure about that yet!

As far as the specs go, the Sony H3212 will feature a large 6-inch screen with a display resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Besides that, it will house an octa-core Snapdragon 630 chipset under the helm along with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage.

For imaging, there is a single 21MP shooter on the rear and dual sensors (16MP+8MP) on the front. On the software side, the device will run Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Connectivity options of the handset include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC and 4G VoLTE. It’s a single-SIM phone and should launch sometime early next year. 2018 will also mark the firm’s first all-screen phone that goes by the model name Sony H8151.
