However, the price of Xperia Pro handset in the US isn’t known just yet.
Sony Xperia Pro smartphone is finally making its way to the US almost a year after its launch in February. However, it’s worth noting that the exact release date isn’t known as B&H only lists the device as “coming soon.”
While the B&H listing doesn’t reveal the price, a previous rumor had hinted at a $1200 price tag. The listing does mention that the phone supports 4G/LTE and 5G mmWave Networks and that it works with all major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
The model in question boasts 512GB of internal storage. If everything goes well, this means Xperia fans have one more device to look forward to, besides the upcoming Xperia 1 III.
For the uninitiated, the Xperia Pro is a camera-centric flagship smartphone from Sony that comes with a triple rear camera setup, consisting of three 12MP sensors.
For the most part, the hardware specs are identical to that of the Xperia 1 II launched earlier this year. And that means you are still getting a 6.5-inch CinemaWide 4K HDR OLED display, Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB RAM, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a 4000mAh battery.
But what really sets this beast apart from other high-end smartphones is not the specs but the additional camera-centric features that are almost non-existent in the rivals. For instance, the Xperia Pro comes with a Micro HDMI port at the bottom to make it easier to connect to a professional camera.
The HDMI connectivity allows the phone display to act as a high-quality monitor for viewing pictures taken using an external camera or — even better — you can set up the phone to stream the content from a camera or camcorder over a 5G network.
