T-Mobile Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge devices are receiving security patch updates for the month of June via OTA.

Popular network operator T-Mobile is now rolling out security patch updates for the month of June to their smartphones, Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. After installing the update, the build version of the Galaxy S7 will bump to G930TUVS4BQE1, while the version on the S7 Edge changes to G935TUVU4BQF6.

In case you are wondering, the update carries a size of 357.18 MB for the Galaxy S7, while it is slightly lower at 355.44 MB for the S7 Edge. As with every OTA updates, it may take a while before it reaches your handset. However, you can always check for updates manually by heading over to SettingsAbout PhoneCheck for updates.

The new update reportedly brings several bug fixes and performance improvements. If you happen to own any of these devices, we suggest you update it as soon as possible. As the new patch consists of a bunch of high-level security fixes for Qualcomm’s closed-source drivers. It can also ensure that your device is protected from viruses, malware, and other vulnerabilities that can be misused by hackers.

Nonetheless to say, make sure your device has at least 50 percent charge on it before installing the update. Also, we suggest you to backup your data before hitting the download button.
