Here is everything you need to know about the recently launched Vernee V2 Pro.

China-based device manufacturer Vernee has updated their V lineup by introducing yet another affordable flagship, Vernee V2 Pro. As one would expect from the naming, the new handset is a trivial upgrade over the firm’s Vernee V2 that launched earlier this year. Weirdly enough, the new Pro variant of the handset is selling at a significantly lower price than its predecessor.

In case you were planning to get Vernee V2 Pro anytime soon, this might be the best time to do so. GearBest is running a flash sale on the device, essentially bringing down the price from $299.99 to $249.99. It’s worth noting that the deal is only good until the 3rd of June, so you should probably make things move faster assuming you don’t want to miss this nice deal.

Vernee V2 Pro Specs

Mind you — though the V2 Pro sells at the price of an affordable mid-range smartphone, the specs this handset offers go in line with what you’d expect from a flagship smartphone that costs above $500. First off, you’re getting a massive 5.99-inch Full HD+ display up front with 18:9 aspect ratio and protected by Corning glass.

Vernee V2 Pro features a rugged outer frame

The main highlight, however, is the rugged looking outer frame, made out of magnalium, that is designed to protect the handset from drops. In addition to that, the handset is IP68 certified — meaning it can go up to 1.5m under water without any issues and is capable of withstanding dirt, dust, and sand.

In terms of specs, the Vernee V2 Pro houses an octa-core Helio P23 processor, 6GB RAM, 64GB storage, dual (16MP+5MP) rear cameras, dual (13MP+5MP) front-facing cameras, and a massive 6200mAh battery.

On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Glonass, and NFC. Biometric security features include “Face ID” (inspired much?), and a fingerprint reader located on the rear.

When it comes to software, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Vernee V2 Pro Price

As part of an ongoing flash sale on GearBest, the Vernee V2 Pro is currently selling for $249.99. The original price is $299.99. The sale ends June 3rd.

It’s quite surprising, also weird, to see that the new Pro variant sells for a significantly cheaper price than its forerunner. Speaking of which, the original V2 is selling at a price of $367.15 on online e-tailer GearBest, while the new variant rocks a cheaper price tag of $299.99.

As if that price wasn’t affordable enough, a flash sale currently running on GearBest has further brought down the pricing to $249.99 — that’s a nice $50 off a device that comes with specs capable of rivaling top dogs in the Android market.

Vernee V2 Pro Release Date

The V2 Pro was launched on 28th May and was shortly made available via GearBest. Just like most other Chinese phones, this one, as well, is exclusive to GearBest, and you probably won’t find it anywhere else.

Note: The older Vernee V2 has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. It has been replaced by the new and better Vernee V2 Pro.

News related to the Vernee V2 Pro:

3/6/18: According to GearBest’s product page, the smartphone will start shipping from June 6 for early bird preorders. Though the flash sale is still active on the e-tailer’s site, there are only 108 units (at the time of writing) of the V2 Pro left for you to take advantage of the massive discount.
