A new phone named Xiaomi 5X has popped up on a Chinese poster, revealing all its specifications. Rumors claim that this handset could be the first to come under Lanmi sub-brand.

Xiaomi has been in the news since they revealed to be working on a new sub-brand named ‘Lanmi’ via micro-blogging site Weibo. Under the introduction of a new name, the Chinese company is expected to strengthen their offline presence against the likes of Oppo and Vivo in the Asian markets. And now, a new phone named Xiaomi 5X has popped up on a poster that, we believe, could be the first phone to come under the Lanmi sub-brand.

Dubbed Xiaomi 5X, the device will come with a 5.5-inch FullHD display and is said to be powered by a rather old Snapdragon 625 processor. Besides that, we also know that the phone will sport 4GB of RAM and carry a price of 1999 Yuan or $296 in China.

That’s not everything we know of the smartphone. A few days ago, we’ve also an alleged render showing off the back side of the phone. The picture hints a horizontal dual camera setup, similar to what we’ve seen on the OnePlus 5. In fact, the device looks just like the OnePlus 5, except that the LED flash on the Xiaomi 5X is present left side to the camera setup opposed to its placement on the right as in the case of latter.

Unfortunately, that’s everything we know about the upcoming smartphone. However, we promise to keep updating the article as soon as we receive new leaks and rumors regarding the Xiaomi 5X.

So, what do you think about the 5X? Could the launch of such a device possibly help the Chinese company snatch away offline customers from biggies like Oppo and Vivo? Share your thoughts in the commenting section below.
