Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual will be available in two RAM variants in India.
Xiaomi is undoubtedly the biggest player in the budget-centric smartphone market of India, and now the company has launched the successor to last year’s Redmi 8A in the form of Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual. The handset launched on Tuesday comes in two RAM variants — 2GB and 3GB — both packed with 32 gigs of internal storage.
The lower RAM variant is priced at Rs 6499, while the 6GB RAM variant will set you back Rs 6999. As per the latest report, the device will go on sale through Mi.com and Amazon India starting from Feb 18.
Specs of Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual
Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual comes with a 6.22-inch HD LCD display. There is Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of the display. Besides that, it also features p2i nano-coating making it splash-proof.
When it comes to photography, the phone is equipped with a dual-camera setup on the rear consisting of 13MP and 2MP. Meanwhile, on the front, it is fitted with an 8MP selfie camera.
To take care of the performance side of things, it runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 processor. As well as 2/3GB RAM and 32GB storage, it supports storage expansion up to 512GB through a microSD slot. One other highlight of the device is that it supports VoWI-Fi support out of the box. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

For the uninitiated, the Xiaomi Redmi 8A was launched back in September last year and came with a 6.22-inch 720×1520 pixels display, a 12MP Sony IMX363 rear camera, an 8MP selfie camera, Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, 2/3GB RAM, 32GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.
