Here is everything we know so far about Sony Xperia L2.
Sony released its very first Xperia L-branded phone last year with the Xperia L1, and now, its successor — Xperia L2 — is starting to get the full-blown leak treatment. However, unlike the Xperia XZ Pro-A and XZ2, this is going to be a budget-centric smartphone.
The new leaks, courtesy of reliable leaker Onleaks, allegedly showcases the upcoming device from all angles and in high resolution. In terms of design, the Xperia L2 looks like any other Xperia device; however, this one seems to have a curved rear, a first for a Sony handset. (Pictures via CompareRaja)
Well, that’s indeed a lot of bezels to deal with!
Although you won’t find any noticeable changes in terms of design, the incoming Xperia L2 has upped the specs of the hardware to new heights when compared the L1.
Speaking of which, the handset is said to come with an octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. Besides that, it is rumored to feature a 720p 5.5-inch display, with the dimensions measuring 149.9 x 78.4 x 9.8mm.
There is a single shooter on the back just above the fingerprint reader, although the megapixel count of the sensor is not known as of now.
Further, the handset is said to run Android Nougat out of the box. However, it’d likely receive the Oreo update in a matter of months following the release.
If Sony Mobile follows the roadmap, we might likely see the Xperia L2 at the Mobile World Congress 2018.
In case you didn’t know, the Xperia L1 also features a 5.5-inch screen with a display resolution of 720×1280 pixels. Other specs include quad-core MediaTek MT6737T processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, and 13MP/5MP camera combo. To keep the lights on, the device has a 2620mAh battery under the hood.
