Sony is currently rolling out a new software update to their Xperia XZ Premium devices, with build number 45.0.A.7.90.

Sony Xperia XZ Premium users are currently receiving a new firmware update that bumps the software build version from 45.0.A.5.1 to 45.0.A.7.90. The update also includes the July security patches, so after installing the update, you’ll find your Android security patch level changed to July 1, 2017.

The update comes with several bug fixes and system improvements, but other than that, you’ll find not many changes after installing the update. You are recommended to install the latest security patch update in order to protect your device from viruses, malware, and hackers.

Nonetheless to say, your device should have a minimum of 50 percent charge before opting to install the update. Also make sure to perform a backup of all important files before you click the download button.

If you’ve already installed the update, we’d like to hear more about it in the comments.
